Construction
Joe Barklow and Rob Strickland have returned to P|C|S as project manager and project superintendent, respectively, for the Euclid City Schools project. Barklow is a Miami University and Cleveland State University graduate, and Strickland graduated from The Ohio State University.
Financial Services
Fairport Asset Management has appointed J.T. Mullen chief investment strategist and chair of the investment committee. Mullen previously served as senior vice president and CFO of The Cleveland Foundation.
Ernst & Young has appointed Lee Thomas as Cleveland office managing partner. Ed Eliopoulos will become the Akron office managing partner at the end of 2011.
Wells Fargo Advisors, in Pepper Pike, has added the Budoff Guggenheim-Longenbaker Wealth Management Group to its office. The group is headed by Elisa R. Budoff.
Robert Dracon Jr. and Kiley Smith have joined U.S. Bank as business client relationship managers. Dracon previously worked as a relationship manager at Skylight Financial, and Smith previously served as co-president of 10,000 Little Ideas.
The Home Savings and Loan Co. has hired Barbara Radis as senior vice president of retail banking and Colleen Scott as vice president of marketing. The company has also promoted Stacey L. Freedman to assistant vice president of consumer loan servicing, Michele James to assistant vice president of accounting/finance, and Cynthia Zapata to assistant vice president of residential mortgage operations.

Cuyahoga County has made several appointments to the new government. Larry Benders has been named director of the department of development. He previously served as executive director of the city of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Workforce Investment Board and its agency, the Employment Connection. Jeff B. Mowry has been named chief information officer. Mowry previously held the position in Broward County, Fla. Majeed G. Makhlouf has been named law director. Makhlouf is a partner in the Cleveland office of Taft Stettinius &
Hollister.
Law
Steven S. Kaufman has formed Kaufman & Co., which focuses on financial services, real estate, intellectual property, commercial and professional liability. He previously served as partner at Thompson Hine for eight years.
Natalie H. Rauf, Ryan P. Sherman and Charles W. Zepp have been named partners at Porter Wright.
Schlabig & Associates Ltd. has hired Jennifer Schumacher as senior associate in the Akron office. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron.

Deviani M. Kuhar chair of the estate planning and probate practice group.
Brouse McDowell has named Joseph Dattilo partner-in-charge of its Cleveland office. A member of the firm’s executive committee, Datilo formerly served as senior counsel at BP America.

Applied Industrial Technologies has promoted Dave Smith to director of corporate purchasing. Smith received his bachelor’s from The Ohio State University and his MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College.

Matt Griswold has founded Red Ink Communications, a copywriting and marketing communications firm. His editorial experience includes work for Crain Communications’ Plastics News in Akron and the Bradenton Herald in Bradenton, Fla.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Facility Operations Division has hired Rob McCartney as manager of horticulture. The Zoological Programs Division has hired Andi Kornak as curator of carnivores and large mammals. She has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park has hired Ralph J. Davila as director of public relations and marketing.
Great Lakes Science Center has appointed Whitney Owens to vice president of education. Previously, Owens, a Northwestern University graduate, was temporary and traveling exhibitions director at The Field Museum.
The Hiram House Board of Trustees has named Cleveland attorney Kevin D. Barnes as president-elect. Barnes will succeed outgoing president John D. Barrett. Barnes is a partner with Taft Stettinius & Hollister’s Cleveland office.
Real Estate
Cutler Real Estate has named Andy Camp manager of the Cutler Dressler office. He will continue as regional manager for Medina, Summit and Portage counties.
