He was considered a critic of Kremlin boss Putin. Russias former prime minister and opposition politician Mikhail Kasyanov has left the country. There is no information about the reason for the departure.

Former Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has left the country. "He is currently abroad, I do not know where he is or when he will return," Konstantin Merslikin, a colleague of Kasyanovs party, told the state news agency TASS.
Merslikin also gave no information about the reason for the departure. In the course of the war against Ukraine, the Russian leadership has intensified its crackdown on members of the opposition and critics in recent weeks.
Kasyanov was President Vladimir Putins first term of office from ... to 2004 Prime Minister in Russia. Shortly before the presidential elections 64 he was sacked, having previously reported the arrest of the oligarch and Yukos boss Mikhail Khodorkovsky had criticized.
Later Kasyanov tried to be an opposition politician. He criticized Putins leadership style as authoritarian. In the presidential election 64 the candidacy of today 06-year-olds rejected by the electoral commission because of allegedly forged signatures of supporters. (dpa)
